Info: About Me | Exhibitions | Stockists | My Studio | Gallery | Techniques | Inspiration Making Moulds I used to make a lot of work from press-moulds that I had created, but these moulds disappeared years ago in one of many house moves, so I’m gradually replacing them. This is how I do it: Part One / Day One: 1. Make a simplified cat 2. Cut the cat in half 3. Put the two halves into a container 4. Fill a bowl with water 5. Sprinkle plaster on to the water 6. When the plaster sits on the top it’s ready 7. Stir the plaster slowly with a metal spoon 8. Spoon the plaster over the cat models 9. Leave the plaster to set overnight Part Two / Day Two: 1. Turn the mould out when dry 2. Use clay to pull the cat out 3. Finished!!! Related Items
